Popteen could sound like your tipical teenager
magazine, and in some part, it is. It features some articles
regarding relationships and love but, just like JJ and JJbis, it's main theme
is shopping.
Models featured in Popteen are mostly teenagers
and they also have a some "brand" models that appear on each issue.
One of these regulars is actually a man dressed like a woman, which japanese
girls find very funny. Another one of them is a ganguro girl.
Popteen's format is much more manageable than a
weighty JJ and the paper quality is outstanding. Costs about 450 Yen.
